My art show is opening this Saturday at Corey Helford Gallery in LA!

It's a mini solo show with four new paintings and four pencil drawings embellished with gold paint.

"Junko Mizuno’s new show, entitled Soma, encapsulate the growth, maturity, and finality of the human existence. The definition of “soma”: 1: the body of an organism 2: all of an organism except the germ cells 3: cell body. "

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the opening this time but please come out and enjoy it for me if you are in LA! 

You can also see group show PSYCHEDELIA, Camille Rose Garcia , Travis Lampe and Mayuka Yamamoto shows opening at the same night in the Gallery.

水野のミニ個展「Soma」が、今週土曜日にLAのCorey Helford Galleryで始まります！ 

今回は、新作ペインティング4点と、鉛筆画4点の展示になります。 

ギャラリーでは、サイケデリックなグループ展、アーティストCamille Rose Garcia、Travis Lampe、Mayuka Yamamotoのミニ個展も同時に開催されます。 

水野は今回、残念ながらオープニングに参加できないのですが、LAにいらっしゃる方はぜひ参加して、水野の分まで楽しんでください！

I'm taking part in this big, mushroom-themed group exhibition opening this Saturday! 

My piece is "Women's Forest" (see above) where mushroom ladies wait in line to talk to the big lady and ask for some life advice. :)

This special show is an exploration into artists’ interpretations of the friendly, deadly, tasty, hallucinogenic, phallic, alien, and legendary mushroom.

This is Dance With a Jackalope, (progress photos below) my new painting for The New Romantics group show at Corey Helford Gallery opening this Saturday!
It's my first time I drew Jackalope, one of my favorite mythical animals!

”The New Romantics will open Saturday, July 28 from 7pm - 11pm in Gallery Three. 
The reception is open to the public and the exhibit will be on view through September 1.
