Tomorrow in LA!
I'm taking part in GR2 gallery's popular annual group show, Post It 18.
I drew ten characters from my Hell Babies art book (now available as Hell Ladies) on 3 x 3 inch Post-It sticky notes.
The show starts on December 3rd and the second drop happens on December 10th.
(I don't know which pieces will be for sale on which date, sorry!)

LAのGR2で毎年開催される人気のグループ展、「Post It Show」に参加します。
各アーティストが3インチ四方の付箋に描いた作品を販売するイベントです。
水野は今回、画集Hell Babies (現在のタイトルはHell Ladies）から10人のキャラクターを描きました。
開催は明日12月3日から、2度目のオープニングは12月10日です。
（どの作品がどちらの日に展示されるかは不明です。すみません！）
ギャラリーでの販売優先で、オンラインでの販売はその後になるようです。

'THE LAST COURSE' ART SHOW ONLINE NOW!・展覧会「THE LAST COURSE」オンライン展示開始！

Big thanks to everyone who came to the opening of my last food-themed show, The Last Course on Saturday!
I'm happy our first private catered opening went well. Hope everyone who attended had fun and enjoyed the food.

水野の食べ物テーマ個展「The Last Course」のオープニングが、先週土曜日に行われました。
各作品のテーマに合わせて食べ物を提供する初の試みもおかげさまで無事に終了、作品は現在全てオンラインで閲覧・購入可能です。
アートプリントや新しいイベントグッズも全て、ギャラリーのオフィシャルページでオーダーできます。

'THE LAST COURSE' ART SHOW & SPECIAL EVENT!・個展「THE LAST COURSE」

My fourth food-themed art show, The Last Course is opening at Gallery Nucleus in LA on September 10th!
I'm showing six new paintings which are the last pieces for my Food Obsession series (I will never stop drawing food though!) along with pencil drawings.
We are planning a special, private catered reception for ticket holders from 5 to 6:30 pm where you can be the first to see the artworks in person, hear me talk about each piece while eating 7 course themed appetizers by Say Huyen Catering ( See the full menu here!) with free wine.
Ticket is limited to 30 guests only and the sales end on September 4th.

Free opening reception for everyone starts from 6:30pm and ends on 8:00pm.
Come say hi if you are around. It will be my first LA visit since 2019!

蛸マスクを被った謎のシェフが作るお寿司は宝石のように美しく、お口の中でとろけます。
お食事中、店内を彷徨うお魚の幽霊とお話できる場合もあり。

PHANTASY ARCADE 2 NOW ONLINE!・PHANTASY ARCADE 2 オンライン公開中!

Phantasy Arcade 2 group show is now online and you can see all the miniature arcade cabinets on Gallery Nucleus website here.
You can also hear the original music composed by musicians for each cabinet on the website.

Here's the one I designed titled TRIAD:

Even though this is a non-playable miniature game cabinet, I came up with the idea for the gameplay for fun!
'TRIAD is a side-scrolling game based on the world I created for my 2015 art show TRIAD with three main characters, Witch, Nurse and Wrestler.
In the game, Witch keeps spawning babies from her mouth in a dark forest where it's full of evil spirits that feed on babies.
Nurse (player 1) has to catch and bring the babies to the nursery in the city where they can be safe while dodging the evil spirits' attacks.
Wrestler (player 2) accompanies Nurse as a guard and fights against the evil spirits.
The number of babies in the nursery at the end of each stage'

The show is up in the gallery until January 9, 2022.

18人のアーティストがデザインした架空のゲーム機が閲覧可能になっており、各ゲームのために作曲されたオリジナル音楽を聞くこともできます。

写真は、水野がデザインしたTRIADミニチュアゲーム機です。

このゲーム機で実際にゲームをプレイすることはできませんが、デザインするにあたってゲーム内容も考えてみました。
「TRIADは、2015年に行われた個展「TRIAD」の世界と、そこに登場した3人のキャラクター、魔女・ナース・レスラーを使った、横スクロールタイプのゲームです。
赤ん坊を食べる悪霊が溢れる暗い森の奥で、口から赤ん坊を産み続ける魔女。
ナース（プレーヤー1）は、その赤ん坊たちをキャッチして、悪霊たちの攻撃を避けながら、街にある保育所へ赤ん坊たちを運んでいきます。
レスラー（プレーヤー2）はナースに付き添い、攻撃してくる悪霊たちと闘いながらナースを守りつつ進みます。
各ステージの最後に、保育所に無事運ばれた赤ん坊たちの数でスコアが決まります。」

I'm taking part in Phantasy Arcade 2, the second group show in which each artist creates work for an original, non-playable, 1/6th scale arcade cabinet.

For the show last year, I made a cabinet design based on my graphic novel, Pure trance.
This year, my design features the characters from TRIAD, my art show that happened in NY in 2015 and later made into a pop-up art book.

各アーティストが、1/6 スケールのミニチュア・ゲーム機（実際にプレイすることはできません）をデザインする展覧会です。
昨年は漫画「ピュア・トランス」を元にしたデザインでしたが、今年は2015年の個展のために制作、のちにポップアップ画集になった「TRIAD」シリーズのキャラクターたちを使ったデザインです。
