The opening of Gokuraku Paradise, a three-person show with Katsuya Terada and Rockin' Jelly Bean , is coming up next weekend at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles!
This exhibition has been in the works for many years—we’ve been discussing it every time I returned to Japan—and I’m so excited that it’s finally coming to life. Both Terada and Jelly Bean are legendary artists, widely known and respected. But they are also two of the very few senior artists who, back when I was still young and often dismissed as “that strange little girl” by older men in the industry, treated me with genuine respect, encouraged me, and praised my work.
Due to some health issues earlier this year (I’m ok now!), I was only able to complete four new pieces—two acrylic paintings and two pencil drawings. To complement them, I’ve selected nine earlier works that fit the theme, for a total of thirteen pieces in the show. With different backgrounds, genders, ages, and influences, the three of us have each explored and expressed our own visions of paradise. All three of us will be attending the opening reception, so if you’re in the Los Angeles area, we would love for you to stop by and experience the artworks in person.

ロサンゼルスのギャラリー Nucleus にて開催される、寺田克也氏、ロッキン・ジェリービーン氏 との3人展「極楽・パラダイス」のオープニングが、いよいよ来週末に迫ってきました！
この展覧会は、何年も前から私が帰国するたびに打ち合わせを重ねてきた企画で、ついに実現することとなり感無量です。
お二人は、言わずと知れた偉大なレジェンド・アーティストであると同時に、私がまだ若く、仕事相手の年上男性たちからは「おかしな小娘」扱いされることも多かった頃に、常に敬意をもって接し、励まし、褒めてくださった数少ない先輩でもあります。
私は年初の体調不良（現在は回復しています！）のため、新作はアクリル画2点と鉛筆画2点の計4点となりますが、過去作からテーマに沿った作品を9点加え、合計13点を出品予定です。 オープニング・レセプションには3人とも在廊予定ですので、ロサンゼルス近郊にお住まいの皆さま、ぜひ会場にお越しいただき、生の作品をご覧いただければ嬉しいです。
性別も年齢も、影響を受けた背景も異なる3人が、それぞれの「パラダイス」をテーマに表現した世界をお楽しみください。

I'm excited to announce a three-person exhibition, Gokuraku: Paradise, with two legendary Japanese artists—Katsuya Terada and Rockin' Jelly Bean—alongside myself, at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles!
The theme is “Gokuraku” (Paradise), and each of us will be freely interpreting it in our own way. We've been planning this show together for several years, and I’ve really been looking forward to it.
Although my health has been a bit up and down since the beginning of this year and my production pace has slowed, I’ll do my best to do as much as I can! Of course, the works by Terada and RJB are sure to be amazing, so if you're in the LA area, please come by and check it out.
All three of us are planning to attend the opening reception!

「極楽」をテーマに３人が自由に描く展覧会、数年前から打ち合わせを重ねて、本当に楽しみにしていた企画です。

These are the pieces that I did and sent out last week for the 20th Annual Post-it Show but it hasn't arrived at the gallery yet! The show opens this Saturday (December 7th) and if my pieces don't make it, they'll be in the 2nd drop on December 15th. Sorry this is all I can say for now.
Post-it Show is an annual group show at GR2 Gallery in LA where artists make & sell artwork on Post-it notes. This is not an online exhibition. You cannot pre purchase Post-it note art.

This is my new painting Women's Truck that is going to be part of Popland IV group show curated by French artist Ciou at KochxBos Gallery in Amsterdam this Saturday, May 25th.
I always wanted to draw my own version of a Japanese decorated truck with my characters on it.
This is Women's Truck that runs only on nights with a full moon.
Nobody knows what they transport but there always seems to be a crazy party going on inside.
It’s known as a sign of good luck if you happen to see it running on the street.
I won't be able to attend the opening but some of the amazing artists from the show will be there to greet you.

今週土曜日、5月25日にアムステルダムのKochxBos Galleryで開催されるグループ展「Popland IV」に、水野の新作ペインティング「Women's Truck」が出品されます。
フランス人アーティストCiouがキュレーションする展覧会です。
ずっと以前から描きたいと思っていた水野デコトラをついに実現！
満月の夜だけ運行する女のトラックです。
何を運んでいるのかは不明ですが、中ではいつも派手な宴会が行われている模様。
街中で見かけたら、いいことが起きる前ぶれかも...!?
水野はオープニングには参加できませんが、他のアーティストさんたちが何人か在廊するようです。

Some of my silkscreen gig posters are on display at Haight Street Art Center in San Francisco as part of Women of Rock Art: 1965 - 2023 exhibition.
You can also see many other amazing old & new gig posters designed by women artists such as Bonnie MacLean, Mari Tepper, Samantha Sirdofsky, Tara McPherson, Dozergirl and more!
“Women of Rock Art: 1965 - 2023” promises to be the largest exhibition of its kind devoted exclusively to rock and music posters designed by women. As this long-overdue survey of more than 200 posters, handbills, and flyers by some 50 artists will demonstrate, women have been active contributors to the rock-poster scene since the beginning, and they continue to be creative forces today.
Exhibition runs until April 14, 2024

「Women of Rock Art: 1965 - 2023」
女性がデザインしたロック音楽のポスターのみを特集したこの種の展覧会としては最大規模となっています。 約50人のアーティストによる200枚以上のポスター、ビラ、フライヤーを展示することで、女性達が当初からロックポスターシーンに積極的に貢献しており、現在もクリエイティブな影響力を持ち続けていることを明らかにする展覧会です。
展示は2024年4月14日まで
