This painting 'Silent Rage' will be in Art Collector Starter Kit, the big annual group exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery starting on December 14th.
I love depicting angry women probably because I grew up in the Japanese culture where women are expected to be submissive and I was frustrated about it. Anger is supposed to be a negative feeling but I’ve always thought that it often works as a powerful energy source to create beautiful art.

There'll be all new 12"x12" works from an exciting line-up of new and established New Contemporary artists in the show. Check it out if you are in LA!

子供の頃から常にうっすら怒っていますので、怒っている女性を描くのは楽しい...!

I’ve collaborated with Morphik, the Los Angeles brand for a while and now they have new pendant necklace featuring a miniature fine art print of my painting “Healer” available on their website!
The great thing about this project is that the artwork is interchangeable with magnet so you can enjoy different designs with just one pendant. For now, they have 4 other artworks by me, some from Ciou and Jessica Louise.
It’s great for making a statement on your favorite art, or just for adding artistic flare to your everyday look. It makes great holiday gift as well!

POST IT SHOW at GR2 GALLERY・LAのGR2 GALLERYにてPOST IT展

I'm taking part in the popular annual Post It group show at GR2 Gallery for the first time this year!
All artworks in this show are on Post It notes and sold for $25 each.
I did 12 pieces that have one of my characters Mimi enjoying different kinds of foods.
The show begins Dec 7 and ends Dec 15.
They open at 11:30 AM -1:30 PM on 7th for preview to the people who want to just see.
Sales begin at 2pm (There will be a line. They won’t presell or hold any pieces. You have to be there to purchase.)

LAのGR2 Galleryにて毎年行われるグループ展、ポスト・イット展に初めて参加します！
このグループ展では、全ての作品がポスト・イットに描かれ、一点25ドルで販売されます。
水野のキャラ・ミミちゃんが、いろんな食べ物を楽しんでいる作品を12点描きました。
12/7日から15日まで開催。
12/7日の11:30 AM -1:30 PMまでギャラリーがオープンし、展示を観ることができます。
その後、2:00 PM より販売開始。毎年行列ができるそうです。
事前の販売や予約などは行わないので、作品が欲しい方は現場に行かなくてはならないとのこと。

I'm coming back to Kinokuniya bookstore in Japantown San Francisco to have a meet & greet event!

Illustrator/Artist Junko Mizuno will sign her newly republished early works, PURE TRANCE and HELL LADIES. These two books are packed with full of Junko's illustration at the start of her professional career. They are also great additions to any avant-horror collection and will probably reveal even more fun on repeated readings. Come join us, and chat with Junko while you receive her autograph!
