My new 8 inch Dunny "La Flamme" is coming out on Friday, October 11th (tomorrow!) in two different colorways!
The design depicts a fun party/ritual scene with my favorite witch in the center and her
sculpted disciple on the head.
They are surrounded by her friends: tooth guy, one-eyed cat, rats, egg lady... all the characters and items that often appear in my artwork.
The sculpted flames and the wand symbolize the power and energy of the great witch.

今回のデザインは、水野お気に入りの魔女を中心に、頭の上に乗った魔女の弟子や、歯氏、一つ目猫、ネズミ、卵婦人など、水野作品の常連キャラクターたちが楽しくパーティー（または儀式）を行なっている様子を描いています。
それを縁取る炎と魔法の杖は、魔女のパワーとエネルギーを表しています。

A few days before LICAF's opening, a free exhibition of art by me goes on display at the University of Cumbria‘s Brampton Road Campus in Carlisle, Cumbria – and I will be at the gallery for about an hour on 10th October.
The exhibition is separated into three categories, paintings, drawings/illustrations, comics and figure designs.
My main works in each category will be displayed chronologically so you can see how my art has evolved in the 23 years of my career.
Exhibition: 7th - 25th October 2019, 10am - 4pm, *closed Sundays
Artist Visit: 10th October 2019, 12.15pm - 1.30pm

LICAF開催の数日前より、同じ湖水地方Carlisleにあるカンブリア大学のギャラリーにて、水野の展覧会が始まります。（入場無料）
10日には、水野も1時間ほど在廊する予定です。
「ペインティング」「ドローイングとイラストレーション」「コミック」「フィギュアデザイン」の4つのカテゴリーに分類された作品が年代順に展示され、水野の23年のアーティスト活動の中で作品が変化していった様子を見ていただけると思います。
展示期間：2019年10月7日から10月25日まで、10am - 4pm（日曜休館）

イギリス、湖水地方の町ケンダル全体で行われるコミックフェスティバル、「Lakes International Comic Art Festival」 (LICAF)の開催日がいよいよ近づいてきました！
開催日は、10月の11日から13日です。

Pure Trance is my first graphic novel that was originally published in Japan in 1998.
Softcover US edition was published in 2005 and is out of print now.
The new edition has a hardcover with newly drawn characters embellished with beautiful gold foil stamping.
Following the Third World War, humankind left the toxic surface of the Earth and built an underground city to survive. A serious social problem has emerged in this new society: hyperorexia, or severe overeating, a side effect of the “Pure Trance” life-sustaining pill.
The story begins in a hospital which has been ruined by a tyrannical director, Keiko Yamazaki. The nurses who toil under Keiko’s whip are regular girls, just like your friends and co-workers.
Yet this is no soap opera! It is a dreamy science fiction fantasy — a twisted story of catfights, alien safari adventures, evil experimentation, and a girl who dreams of becoming a pop idol singer.

今回のきせかえ人形は、2001年に発売された画集「ヘル・ベイビーズ」より、エンゼル・フィッシュちゃんです。
画集では悲しげだった彼女が、その後、愉快な魚介の仲間たちとハッピーに暮らしている姿を描いています。

JUNKONOTOMO, meaning "Junko's Friends" is a new mini sofubi toy series designed by Junko Mizuno and made in Japan by Tomenosuke.
The first version "Melon" will be available for pre-order at 11:59 PM on August 2nd (JST) which is 7:59 AM on August 2nd (PDT) on Tomenosuke website here!
