I've been drawing nonstop every day until I'm completely exhausted ‍, getting ready for my upcoming solo show at Nucleus Portland in Oregon, opening on July 10th !

This will be the third exhibition in my 'Junko Mizuno Tarot Project' which I started in 2023. 15 new tarot drawings and 5 embellished pencil drawings will be on display, and there'll be some new merchandise & prints available.

I'll be attending the opening reception, and I'm especially excited because it will be my first time visiting Portland! Please stop by and say hi if you're in the area!

⭐️About Junko Mizuno Tarot Project ⭐️

Started in 2023, this project fulfills Junko Mizuno's long-held dream of creating a complete original tarot deck. Featuring characters from her past comics, paintings, figures, gig posters, and other works, all 78 cards are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026, with the full deck planned for release in 2027.

水野の長年の夢だったオリジナルのタロットカードをフルデッキで制作するプロジェクトとして、2023年にスタート。漫画、絵画、フィギュア、ギグポスターなど、水野のさまざまな作品にこれまで登場してきたキャラクターたちを用いて、全78枚のカードをデザインしていき、2026年末に完成、2027年にフルデッキのタロットカードとして商品化・発売することを目標としています。

This painting is titled Deranged. I created it back in 2010, when I was obviously feeling a little crazy and... well, deranged. Starting tomorrow (June 27), it will be on view in the group exhibition Heretic Beauty at KP Projects in LA. Seeing this piece again takes me back to the period just after I moved from Japan to the U.S. in 2009, when I was exploring and developing a new direction in my art. If you're in LA, visit the gallery and see it in person! I'm honored to be exhibiting alongside such an incredible group of artists.

2026年5月20日（水）から25日（月）まで、大阪・阪急うめだ本店9階のギャラリー／アートステージにて開催される「HANKYU × Art Collectors' アートフェア2026」にて、水野純子の作品が展示・販売されます。

美術雑誌『月刊アートコレクターズ』と阪急うめだ本店によるコラボレーション企画で、Submarine Gallery からの出展となります。

今回は、水野のプリント作品、鉛筆画に彩色を施した作品に加え、アクリル原画2点も展示予定です。ぜひこの機会に、実際の作品をご覧いただければ嬉しいです。

I’m excited to share that my work will be exhibited and available for purchase at HANKYU × Art Collectors' Art Fair 2026, taking place from May 20 (Wed) to May 25 (Mon), 2026, at the Gallery / Art Stage on the 9th floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store in Osaka, Japan.

This special art fair is a collaboration between Monthly Art Collectors' magazine and Hankyu Umeda Department Store. My work will be presented by Submarine Gallery.

The exhibition will feature a selection of my prints, hand-colored pencil drawings, and two original acrylic paintings. If you’re in the area, please stop by and see the work in person!

水野より緊急連絡！来る4月11日（土）、多分20年以上ぶりの日本でのトーク＆サイン会を開催します！会場は、恵比寿のクラブ「みるく」の2000年改装時に内装のお仕事をいただいて以来、長年お世話になっている写真家・編集者の都築響一氏が向島に開館した大道芸術館（Museum Of Roadside Art）です。今年は水野のアーティスト活動30周年ということで、これまでの軌跡、2009年にアメリカへ活動拠点を移してからの活動についてなどお話ししたいと思います。お客様からの質問にお答えしたり、サイン会も予定しています。18歳以上の大人のみなさん、是非ご参加ください。お待ちしています！

On Saturday April 11th, I'm doing a talk & signing event - my first event in Japan in over 20 years! The venue is the Museum of Roadside Art in Mukojima founded by my friend, editor & photographer, Kyoichi Tsuzuki. As this year marks the 30th anniversary of my career as an artist, I’ll be talking about my journey so far, including my work since moving to the US in 2009. RAKUGAKI Goup Show at GR2 in LA This Saturday ・LAのグループ展「RAKUGAKI」に参加します

I'm taking part in Giant Robot's group show, Rakugaki (which means "doodle" in Japanese). This year, I asked people on Instagram to suggest things they wanted me to draw.

Thanks to everyone who responded!

I wish I could have drawn all of the requests, but here are the three ideas I picked:

1. A frilly girl w/ a hime cut, maybe with bunnies or other plush toys

2. A woman with extremely long hair using a brush to detangle as she finds little aliens

3. Zombie Girls (I drew Aki & Akko , the zombie sisters from my comic, Cinderalla)

The show opens on Saturday, March 14, starting with art available online and an online tour at 12:00 PM. The gallery will open to visitors at 1:00 PM, and a public reception will be held from 6:00–9:00 PM. (I won’t be able to attend the reception )

LAのGiant Robotのグループ展「落書き（Rakugaki）」に参加します。今年は、インスタグラムでフォロワーの皆さんに「描いてほしいもの」をリクエストしてもらいました。回答してくれた皆さん、ありがとうございました！

すべてのリクエストに応えられなかったのが残念ですが、今回選んだ3つのアイデアはこちらです。

1.フリフリの服を着た姫カットの女の子と、ウサギか何かのぬいぐるみ

2.超ロングヘアの女性がブラシで髪を梳かしていると、小さなエイリアン達が見つかる

3.ゾンビガールズ（コミック『シンデラーラ』に登場するゾンビ姉妹、アキとアッコを描きました）

展覧会は3月14日（土）にスタート。（太平洋時間）12:00PMよりオンラインで作品の販売とオンラインツアーが行われます。ギャラリーへの入場は午後1時から、パブリックレセプションは午後6時〜9時に開催されます。水野はレセプション不参加ですが、楽しいイベントですので、お近くにいらっしゃる方は是非ご参加ください！
